Muhammad believed cows can teach a lesson

Volume 3, Book 39, Number 517:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, “While a man was riding a cow, it turned towards him and said, ‘I have not been created for this purpose (i.e. carrying), I have been created for sloughing.” The Prophet added, “I, Abu Bakr and ‘Umar believe in the story.” The Prophet went on, “A wolf caught a sheep, and when the shepherd chased it, the wolf said, ‘Who will be its guard on the day of wild beasts, when there will be no shepherd for it except me?’ “After narrating it, the Prophet said, “I, Abu Bakr and ‘Umar too believe it.” Abu Salama (a sub-narrator) said, “Abu Bakr and ‘Umar were not present then.” (It has been written that a wolf also spoke to one of the companions of the Prophet near Medina as narrated in Fatah-al-Bari:

Narrated Unais bin ’Amr: Ahban bin Aus said, “I was amongst my sheep. Suddenly a wolf caught a sheep and I shouted at it. The wolf sat on its tail and addressed me, saying, ‘Who will look after it (i.e. the sheep) when you will be busy and not able to look after it? Do you forbid me the provision which Allah has provided me?’ ” Ahban added, “I clapped my hands and said, ‘By Allah, I have never seen anything more curious and wonderful than this!’ On that the wolf said, ‘There is something (more curious) and wonderful than this; that is, Allah’s Apostle in those palm trees, inviting people to Allah (i.e. Islam).’ “Unais bin ‘Amr further said, “Then Ahban went to Allah’s Apostle and informed him what happened and embraced Islam.)” palm trees or other trees and share the fruits with me.

Now I Know you enjoyed the above Hadith, its one of my favorite Hadith,  but this is not it, I do have other funny Hadiths, which I will share with you later. I could not though resist to put just another here. Enjoy ! :-)

Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 55 :: Hadith 616

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “(The Prophet) Moses was a shy person and used to cover his body completely because of his extensive shyness. One of the children of Israel hurt him by saying, ‘He covers his body in this way only because of some defect in his skin, either leprosy or scrotal hernia, or he has some other defect.’ Allah wished to clear Moses of what they said about him, so one day while Moses was in seclusion, he took off his clothes and put them on a stone and started taking a bath. When he had finished the bath, he moved towards his clothes so as to take them, but the stone took his clothes and fled; Moses picked up his stick and ran after the stone saying, ‘O stone! Give me my garment!’ Till he reached a group of Bani Israel who saw him naked then, and found him the best of what Allah had created, and Allah cleared him of what they had accused him of. The stone stopped there and Moses took and put his garment on and started hitting the stone with his stick. By Allah, the stone still has some traces of the hitting, three, four or five marks. This was what Allah refers to in His Saying:– “O you who believe! Be you not like those Who annoyed Moses, But Allah proved his innocence of that which they alleged, And he was honorable In Allah’s Sight.” (33.69)

We should blame Allah or Muhammad

The argument from evil (or problem of evil) is the argument that an all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfectly good God would not allow any—or certain kinds of—evil or suffering to occur. Unlike the logical argument from evil, which holds that the existence of God (so defined) is logically incompatible with some known fact about evil, the evidential (or probabilistic) argument from evil contends that some known fact about evil is evidence against the existence of God. For instance, one version of the argument contends that the biological role of pain and pleasure is much more likely on naturalism than theism (e.g., Paul Draper).

Other versions of the evidential argument concede that God could have a morally sufficient reason for allowing certain evils to occur—e.g., to ensure that some greater good is achieved as a consequence of an evil. However, proponents add, God would only allow as much evil or suffering as is absolutely necessary in order to achieve greater goods. But when we look at the world around us, we find prevalent instances of apparently gratuitous evil—pointless evils from which no greater good seems to result. According to proponents, the existence of apparently gratuitous evil provides strong evidence that God (as traditionally defined) does not exist (e.g., William Rowe).” Reference

From the Islamic point of view, the suffering and Evil which exists in our world today was decreed by Allah Himself. So what is the point to call Allah Rahman or Raheem ?

64:11 No calamity occurs, no affliction comes, except by the decision and preordainment of Allah.”

And Muhammad was found making such remarks, recorded in Sahi Bukhari;

Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 608

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, ‘(There is) no ‘Adwa (no contagious disease is conveyed without Allah’s permission). nor is there any bad omen (from birds), nor is there any Hamah, nor is there any bad omen in the month of Safar, and one should run away from the leper as one runs away from a lion

Religion –our delusional beliefs and imaginary concepts!

Religion – our delusional beliefs and imaginary concepts!
Let’s imagine that I tell you the following story:

  • There is a man who lives at the North Pole.
  • He lives there with his wife and a bunch of elves.
  • During the year, he and the elves build toys.
  • Then, on Christmas Eve he loads up a sack with all the toys.
  • He puts the sack in his sleigh.
  • He hitches up eight (or possibly nine) flying reindeers.
  • He then flies from house to house, landing on the rooftops of each one.
  • He gets out with his sack and climbs down the chimney.
  • He leaves toys for the children of the household.
  • He climbs back up the chimney, gets back in his sleigh and flies to the
    next house.
  • He does this all around the world in one night.
  • Then he flies back to the North Pole to repeat the cycle next year.

This, of course, is the story of our dear old Santa Claus.

But let’s say that I am an adult, and I am your friend, and I reveal to you that I believe that this story is really, really true. I believe it with all my heart and soul in it. And I even try to talk about it with you, I convince and convert you to believe it as I do? What would you think of me? You would plainly think that I am delusional, and rightly so! Why do you think that I am delusional? It is because you know it very well that Santa is just imaginary. The story is a total fairy tale. No matter how much I talk to you about Santa Claus, you are not going to believe that Santa is for real. Flying reindeer, for example, are totally make-believe.

The dictionary defines delusion as, “A false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence”. That definition fits perfectly here. Since you are my friend, you might try to help me realize that my belief in Santa is a delusion. The way that you would try to do that is by asking me some questions. For example, you might say to me:

  • “But how can the sleigh carry enough toys for everyone in the world?” I say to you that the sleigh is magical. It has the ability to do this intrinsically.
  • “How does Santa get into houses and apartments that don’t have chimneys?” I say that Santa can make chimneys appear, as shown to all of us in
    the movie The Santa Clause.
  • “How does Santa get down the chimney if there’s a fire in the fireplace?” I say that Santa has a special flame-resistant suit, and it cleans itself too.
  • “Why doesn’t the security system detect Santa?” Santa is invisible to security systems.
  • “How can Santa travel fast enough to visit every child in one night?” Santa is timeless.
  • “How can Santa know whether every child has been bad or good?” Santa is omniscient.
  • “Why are the toys distributed so unevenly? Why does Santa deliver more toys to rich kids, even if they are bad, than he ever gives to poor kids?” There is no way for us to understand the mysteries of Santa because we are mere mortals, but Santa has his reasons. For example, perhaps poor children would be unable to handle a flood of expensive electronic toys. How would they afford the batteries? So Santa spares them this burden.

These are all quite logical questions that you have asked. I have answered all of them for you. I am wondering why you can’t see what I see, and you are wondering how I can be so insane.

Why didn’t my answers satisfy you? Why do you still know that I am delusional? Is it because my answers have done nothing but confirm your assessments? My answers are not ridiculous. In order to answer your questions, I invented, completely out of thin air, a magical sleigh, a magical self-cleansing suit, magical chimneys, “timelessness” and magical invisibility. You don’t believe my answers because you know that I am making all this stuff up. The invalidating evidence is voluminous, aint it???

Now let me show you another example…!

Imagine that I tell you the following story that:

  • I was in my room one night.
  • Suddenly, my room became exceedingly bright.
  • Next thing I know there is an angel in my room.
  • He tells me an amazing story.
  • He says that there is a set of ancient golden plates buried in the side
    of a hill in New York.
  • On them are the books of a lost race of the chosen people who inhabited that part of North America.
  • These plates bear inscriptions in the foreign language of these people.
  • Eventually the angel leads me to the plates and lets me take them home.
  • Even though the plates are in a foreign language, the angel helps me to decipher and translate them.
  • Then the plates are taken up unto heaven, never to be seen again.
  • I have the book that I translated from the plates. It tells of amazing things -an entire civilization of these chosen people living here in the United States some 2,000 years ago.
  • And that the resurrected god came and visited these people!
  • I also showed the golden plates to a number of real people who are my eye witnesses, and I have their signed attestations that they did, in fact, see and touch the plates before the plates were taken up unto heaven.

Now, what would you say to me about this wonderful accidental story? Even though I do have a book, and that too in English that, it tells the story of this God’s lost chosen peoples civilization, and even though I do have the signed attestations as proof, what do you think? This story kinda sounds nutty, doesn’t it?

You would ask some obvious questions. For example, at the very simplest level, you might ask, “Where are the ruins and these artifacts from this lost civilization in America?” The book transcribed from the plates talks about millions of gods’ chosen people doing all kinds of things in America. They have horses and oxen and chariots and armor and large cities. What happened to all of this? I answer simply: it is all out there, but we have not found it yet.

“Not one city? Not one chariot wheel? Not even one helmet?” you ask. No! We haven’t found a single bit of evidence, but it is out there somewhere, we have to dig it out you know.

You ask me dozens of questions like this, and I have answers for them all. Most people would assume that I am delusional, if I told them this story. They would assume that there were no plates and no angel, and that I had written the book myself. Most people would ignore the attestations -having people attest to it means nothing, really. I could have paid the attesters off, or I could have fabricated them. Most people would reject my story without question! So what’s interesting is that there are millions of people who actually do believe this story of the angel and the plates and the book and the Jewish people living in North America 2,000 years ago. Those millions of people are members of the Mormon Church, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The person who told this incredible story was a man named Joseph Smith, and he lived in the United States in the early 1800s. He told his story, and recorded what he “translated from the plates”, in the Book of Mormons. If you meet a Mormon and ask them about this story, they can spend hours talking to you about it. They can answer every question you have. Yet the 5.99 billion of us who are not Mormons can see with total clarity that the Mormons are just plainly delusional. It is as simple as that. Yet you and I both know with 100% certainty that the Mormon story is no different from the story of Santa! And we are correct in our assessment. The invalidating evidence is voluminous.

Yet Another example!!!

Imagine that I tell you this story:

  • A man was sitting in a cave minding his own business.
  • A very bright flash of light appeared.
  • A voice spoke out one word: “Read!” The man felt like he was being squeezed to death. This happened several times.
  • Then the man asked, “What should I read?”
  • The voice said, “Read in the name of your Lord who created humans from a clinging [zygote]. Read for your Lord is the most generous.
    He taught people by the pen what they didn’t know before.”
  • The man ran home to his wife.
  • While running home, he saw the huge face of an angel in the sky. The angel told the man that he was to be the messenger of one true God. The
    angel also identified himself by his name.
  • At home that night, the angel appeared to the same man in his dreams.
  • The Angel appeared to the man over and over again. Sometimes it was in dreams, sometimes during the day as “revelations in his heart,” sometimes preceded by a painful ringing in his ears (and then the verses would flow from the Angel right out of the man), and sometimes the Angel himself would appear in the flesh and speak. Scribes wrote down everything that man said on anything that was available to be jotted down.
  • Then, one night about 11 years after the first encounter with the Angel, who appeared to the man with a magical horse. The man got on the horse, and the horse took him to magical land. Then the winged horse took the man up to the seven layers of heaven. The man was able to actually see heaven and meet and talk with people –the prophets, the angels and almighty god there. Then the angel brought the man back to earth.
  • The man proved that he had actually been to the magical holy land on the winged horse by accurately answering questions about buildings and landmarks there.
  • The man continued receiving the revelations from the angel for 23 long years, and then one day, it all completely stopped. All of the revelations were recorded by the scribes in a book which its’ people still have today!

What do you make of this story? If you have never heard this story before, you may find it to be nonsensical in the same way that you feel about the stories of the golden plates and Santa Claus. You would especially feel that way once you read the book that was supposedly transcribed from the Angel of God, because much of it is opaque. The dreams, the horse, the angel, the ascension, and the appearances of the angel in the flesh -you would dismiss them all these as ridiculous because it is all imaginary and delusional!

But you need to be careful. This story is the foundation of the Muslim religion, practiced by more than a billion people around the world. The man is named Mohammad, and the book is the Koran (also spelled Qur’an). This is the sacred story of the Koran’s creation and the revelation of the ‘one true Allah’ to mankind. Despite these facts that a billion Muslims profess some level of belief in this story, people outside the Muslim faith consider the story to be just plainly imaginary. No one believes this story because this story is a fairy tale. They consider the Koran to be a book narrated (written on golden tablets preserved in heaven) by a man and nothing more. A winged horse that flew to heaven –come on now please don’t pull my leg dear? That is fictitiously imaginary -as imaginary as a flying reindeer!!!
If you are a true believer in religion, then please take a moment right now to look back at the Santa, the Mormon and the Muslim stories. Why is it so easy for you to look at these stories and see that they are just imaginary fairy tales? How do you know, with complete certainty, that the Mormons and the Muslims are just plainly delusional? You know these things for the same reason as you know that Santa is imaginary. There is no evidence for any of it.

The stories involve magical things like angels and winged horses, hallucinations, dreams. Horses cannot even fly -we all know that! And yet even if they could, where would this horse fly to? To the vacuums of outer space? Or is the horse somehow “dematerialized” and then “rematerialized” in heaven in a jiffy? If so, those processes are made up too! Every bit of it is imaginary. We all know that –but yet we still cling to such gibberish tales…!

An unbiased observer can see how imaginary these three stories are. In addition, Muslims can see that the Mormons are delusional; the Mormons can see that the Muslims are delusional, and a believer in Santa Claus can see that both the Mormons and the Muslims are delusional.

The belief in “god” seems to be ubiquitous through the ages.

One final example!!!

We know, for example, that the ancient Egyptians believed in their gods so fervently that they built massive structures like the Great Pyramid -still today one of the largest known and most enduring human constructions ever created. Despite that fervor, however, we know with complete certainty today that the Egyptian gods were imaginary. We don’t build pyramids anymore and we do not mummify our leaders either!

More recently we know that tens of millions of Romans worshiped Jupiter and his friends, and to them they built magnificent temples. The ruins of these temples are popular tourist attractions even today. Yet we know with complete certainty that these gods were imaginary because no one worships Zeus any more!

Much more recently, we know that the Aztec civilization believed in their gods so intensely that they constructed huge temples and pyramids. In addition, Aztecs were so zealous that they were sacrificing hundreds of human beings to their gods as recently as the 16th century. Despite the intensity, however, we know today that these gods were completely imaginary. The Aztecs were insane to be murdering people for their gods. Killing a person has no effect on rainfall or anything else. We all know that. If the Aztec gods were for real, we would still be offering sacrifices to their Gods!

Understanding the Rationalizations!!!

Today’s “God” is just as imaginary as were these historical gods. The fact that millions of people worship a god is just meaningless. The “God” and “Allah” that the Muslims worship today are actually amalgams formed out of ancient pagan gods. The idea of a “virgin birth”, “burial in a rock tomb”, “resurrection after 3 days” and “eating of body and drinking of blood” had nothing to do with Jesus. All of the rituals in Christianity are completely man-made also!

Religion is a snow ball that rolled over a dozen pagan religions. As the snowball grew, it freely attached pagan rituals in order to be more palatable to its’ converts. You can find accounts like these in popular literature of worldly religions. Once you understand the fundamental truths of these religious origins, the silliness of this whole thing becomes apparent to you.

Obviously the pagan believers, from whom Christianity derived its myths, worshiped gods that were imaginary. And thus our “God” today is just an extension of these imaginary forerunners. All human gods are imaginary. It is still the case that most true believers believe the world to be flat. Widespread beliefs did not change the fact that the world is a sphere. The scientific and observational evidence that we have available today is undeniable -the world is a sphere!

All scientific evidence shows that God is really imaginary. So does all historical evidences too! This leads any rationally thinking person to conclude that these godly beliefs are pure mythologies. Islam is just like every other mythology that mankind has dreamed up through the ages…!

Divine Comedy, How much is enough for you ?

Filed under: Hadith — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , — sumuque @ 10:41 am

As we saw earlier, Muhammad believed that Cows can communicate with Humans, or all sorts of other wonderful, fancy stories, I know, he was living in 7th CE, so it was not unsual, however, is there any line on which Muslim would say, okay, enough is enough, I am out of here.. or do you want to hear more of these fancy fairy tales from Muhammad ?? I just want to know, is there any limit on which you will finally say.. Hmm.. Jeee this look really absurd ?

Volume 8, Book 76, Number 527:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

The Prophet said, “The (planet of) earth will be a bread on the Day of Resurrection, and The resistible (Allah) will topple turn it with His Hand like anyone of you topple turns a bread with his hands while (preparing the bread) for a journey, and that bread will be the entertainment for the people of Paradise.” A man from the Jews came (to the Prophet) and said, “May The Beneficent (Allah) bless you, O Abul Qasim! Shall I tell you of the entertainment of the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection?” The Prophet said, “Yes.” The Jew said, “The earth will be a bread,” as the Prophet had said. Thereupon the Prophet looked at us and smiled till his premolar tooth became visible. Then the Jew further said, “Shall I tell you of the udm (additional food taken with bread) they will have with the bread?” He added, “That will be Balam and Nun.” The people asked, “What is that?” He said, “It is an ox and a fish, and seventy thousand people will eat of the caudate lobe (i.e. extra lobe) of their livers.”

See also Sahi Muslim Book 039, Number 6710

So if you will go to Jannah, Muhammad’s lord will present you a bread made of earth, yea right !! not even that, it will contain all the material which you normally don’t want to eat or too touch, for example, Pigs, Bloods and all sorts of animals.. but even this.. what is the logic to say things like these ? I mean, come on people, is there any limit ?

Who taught Muhammad the Meteorology

Filed under: Hadith, Qur'an — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , — sumuque @ 10:30 am

A typical old bronze age weather report.

Volume 1, Book 10, Number 512:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, “In very hot weather delay the Zuhr prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold.

And this ;

Volume 2, Book 17, Number 149:

Narrated Ibn ‘Umar:

Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, “Keys of the unseen knowledge are five which nobody knows but Allah . . . nobody knows what will happen tomorrow; nobody knows what is in the womb; nobody knows what he will gain tomorrow; nobody knows at what place he will die; and nobody knows when it will rain.”

I think there Muhammad was not well informed on these matter, no further explaination is actually required to prove Muhammad was wrong, yet once again.

Oops Allah did it again

Filed under: Qur'an — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , — sumuque @ 10:26 am

Quran contain many errors and contradictions, here is another good example;

56:11-14 They are those who will be closest (to God), in the Gardens of delight (Paradise) A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam) And a few from among the latter

Compare to this gem from Quran;

56:38-40 For the Companions of the Right Hand. A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam) And a multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the later times (generations)

I don’t think any other explaination require to see the confusion, and I think the author(s) who were writing these lines either have totally forgot or did not communicate well with each other. And Uthman failed to edit the Quran as well, after all the current accepted version is Uthmanic Quran, I think Muslim should blame him for such “divine” errors.

Is Allah a male deity ?

We understand from Quran that for humans its not possibile or even to imagine about Allah’s personality, “his” shape or presence. Muhammad was keen to mentioned this fact in Quran. This is the first of part of this story, however when we look other verses of Quran, its apparently clear that Allah is a Male deity !

There are Muslim groups like Salafis who believe that Allah indeed has a shape and its almost similar to Humans, the reason I think is Muhammad’s own believes and imagination, whichh we see in Quran and also recorded in Sahi Hadiths.

The simple Question one can ask, Is Allah male ? if not, then why “It” mentioned itself in Quran as He ? was is not clear to see that, this “He” infact was the expressions of Muhammad who was a male Prophet ? As one can see the confusing nature of Quran, one can easily see the signs or errors Muhammad made during its development. For example, like the Alllah’s as Male deity, Muhammad had some other information which He heard from some one, either forgot or totally misunderstood, like Mary as daughter of Imran, the fact that similar information appeared in Quran make it highly suspecious that Quran was divinly inspired.

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 623:
Narrated Abu Musa:

Allah’s Apostle said, “Many amongst men reached (the level of) perfection but none amongst the women reached this level except Asia, Pharaoh’s wife, and Mary, the daughter of ‘Imran. And no doubt, the superiority of ‘Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. a meat and bread dish) to other meals.”

As one can see from above Hadith, either Muhammad had this faith that Mary was the daughter of Imran, or Allah was wrong!! I think conclusion is simple and logical.

Back to the question, is Allah a Male deity ? The answer is Yes if you understand Muhammad’s mind, He believed Allah is a male deity and has alsomost human like shape or appearance.

Muslim Book 040, Number 6809:

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created Adam in His own image with His length of sixty cubits, and as He created him He told him to greet that group, and that was a party of angels sitting there, and listen to the response that they give him, for it would form his greeting and that of his offspring. He then went away and said: Peace be upon you! They (the angels) said: May there be peace upon you and the Mercy of Allah, and they made an addition of” Mercy of Allah”. So he who would get into Paradise would get in the form of Adarn, his length being sixty cubits, then the people who followed him continued to diminish in size up to this day

First of all, Muhammad simply accepted the Biblical narration of god creating humans in his own image and narrate it further to his followers, as He too was inspired by god, 2ndly, even if this own image theory is correct, what does it mean ? Do Humans are like Allah ? if Yes, then how ? Do Allah has legs, arms or reproductive organs ? Why He was keen to say in Quran that He does not have a wife ?

This whole confusion was actually in the mind of Muhammad, and we see it today in his sayings in Hadith and in Quran, far from a Divine inspiration, its a Book which is full of confusions and contradiction

Poor Jews and Christians

Poor Jews and Christians, Muhammad said much about Christians and Jews in Quran. However, like many other things, these accounts too contradict or conflict with each other. Lets see some contradictory passages from Koran about Christians and Jews and enjoy.

5:51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.”

 Ahh.. yea.. Jews and Christians are friend one to another !! Muslims should not be friendly with them, at least a Muslim who is reading these lines will understand it easily. However, what should he do, when He reads the following in the same Sura couple of verses later??

5:82 Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe (to be) those who say: Lo! We are Christians. That is because there are among them priests and monks, and because they are not proud.”

Now in this verse Allah or Muhammad actually contradicting his first message, if they are so bad then what is the reason to chose one group and say, they are friendly ?  if they are friendly then why not call them friends or become friends with them ? Ironically, according to Muhammad, Christians and Jews are not so friendly ‘one to another as well…’

2:113 The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); though they both recite the Scripture. Like unto their word, said (the pagans) who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they have been differing.”

Imagine this !! Jews and Christians accusing each other !! wow !! Its like a Hindu call Muslim wrong and Muslim call a Hindu wrong, hardly anything friendly here. However, what is clear is the contradiction itself.. amazing is it not ? by the way its also quite funny that Muhammad asked Jews and Christians many times, why they don’t accept Muhammad as Prophet or believe revelations from heavens?

3:70 O people of the Scripture! (Jews and Christians): “Why do you disbelieve in the Ayat of Allah, [the Verses about Prophet Muhammad SAW present in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you (yourselves) bear witness (to their truth).”

 or like this..

3:98 Say: “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) while Allah is Witness to what you do?”

Now when we read above statements then the idea comes in mind that Jews and Christians actually rejected the Muhammad and that He was a Prophet, other wise there is no need to have such verses in Quran. But then again, we left confused by Allah once again when read the following !!

3:199 And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the Verses of Allah for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allah is Swift in account.”

 Hmm…So there are some, one or two, who do believe in the verses..??? if yes, then why make generalize sweeping statements about all in other verses ? Why ask Muslims not to be friends with them ? now if some low life Christian or Jew say, hey, you accused us that we are your enemy and then ask us to accept you.. hello, what is you really want from us ? why should we accept you and for what reason ? I think it will be a fair question to ask.

 Now I am not sure but it appeared someone really asked this question and Muhammad’s answer was simple.. and clear.

3:19 Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account

3:83 Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.”

That’s what we call.. my way or highway !!

3:85 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to God), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).”

 Bingo !!

On July 20, 1969, Armstrong landed the lunar module Eagle on the surface of the Moon with a companion, while the third astronaut orbited above. Certainly a great Leap for mankind and great achievement.

Muslims were quick to jump on this “miracle” from all sort of claims to prove either evidences of Moon Splitting were shown on Photos to Armstrong hearing Adhan on the surface of Moon. We can leave these to a side for the moment and focus on the Quranic revelation which is like a Prophecy mentioned in 07:25 which says and I quote;

07:25 He said: “Therein you shall live, and therein you shall die, and from it you shall be brought out (i.e.resurrected).

Allah the all knowing god tells the world that look Humans, you are restricted on the earth, you can not go out from it. Surely in 7th CE it made some sense to Desert Bedouins, but today we see this claim is totally false and crap. So much for a scripture who claimed to be revealed from a all knowing, might god.

And when we change a verse

Filed under: Qur'an — sumuque @ 5:32 am

One problematic aspect of Muslim theology is the subject of Nasikh and Mansukh verses in Quran. Quran itself hinted in many places, for example;

16:101 And when We change a Verse [of the Qur'an, i.e. cancel (abrogate) its order] in place of another, and Allah knows the best of what He sends down, they (the disbelievers) say: “You (O Muhammad SAW) are but a Muftari! (forger, liar).” Nay, but most of them know not.” Hilali-Khan

or

02:106 Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allah is able to do all things? ” Hilali-Khan

Now one must be careful what has been said here. Allah himself canceling already revealed/manifested verses of Quran. There are several problem with this notion, first its has been said in Quran that Quran is been preserved prior to its revelation to Muhammad;

85:22 In a guarded tablet.

Lets say Allah allegedly revealed a particular verse to Muhammad, what was Muhammad mission to spread the word of his lord Allah, so He did and spoke about the revelation, people understood it, remember it. Perhaps months later or years later [as Quran is allegedly revealed in a period around 23 years] Allah revealed yet another verse, which was conflicting with the first one, so He ordered Muhammad to “Cancel” the previous verse and put in place the newly revealed verse.

Muhammad had to announce this yet again, but this time, He had to announce the cancellation of the previous verse ? Naturally people will noticed of this change and some would charge that He is making this whole thing up and a Liar; “they (the disbelievers) say: “You (O Muhammad SAW) are but a Muftari! (forger, liar)” ..

Muhammd was really put in a awkword position here, His Lord was not fair with him, I mean can not He fully thought a message prior to its revelation ? I mean sayings like think before speak was not that difficult to get ?

He may be angry, we don’t know for sure, But its quite possible. Specially when He received these lines from Allah;

18:27 And recite what has been revealed to you (O Muhammad SAW) of the Book (the Qur’an) of your Lord (i.e. recite it, understand and follow its teachings and act on its orders and preach it to men). None can change His Words, and none will you find as a refuge other than Him

I can imagine His frustration !

In order to be fair I will analyze Muhammad here too, perhaps it was Muhammad’s own fault, perhaps, He was making things up, perhaps he had weak Memory.

Volume 6, Book 61, Number 558:

Narrated Aisha:

Allah’s Apostle heard a man reciting the Qur’an at night, and said, “May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such-and-such Suras, which I was caused to forget .”“

Perhaps it was too damaging for Muhammad to say, well I am just a Human, I might forgot some part of the revealed revelations, so He actually invented this thing up, He said it was Allah who caused Him to forget, how comforting ??

87:6-7 By degrees shall we teach thee (Muhammad) to declare (the message), so thou shalt not forget, except as God wills

But interestingly Muhammad’s own admission tells us that Part of Quran was simply forgotten because Muhammad forgot it ! What credence should we give to the “current version of Uthmanic codices” ?

Third possibility it was Muslim themselves who invented this whole Nasikh and Mansukh thing to rescue Quran and Muhammad from its apparent and clear cut contradictions ? Is it possible some zealot Muslim in past thought to invent this story by adding certain verses in Quran ?

Fourth possibility, Perhaps Muhammad himself thought to please Jews by borrowing Jews scriptures and call it Quran, so He can save some time ? Well on one stage He had very good relationship wit them, other wise He would never say such things;

28:49 Say (to them, O Muhammad SAW): “Then bring a Book from Allah, which is a better guide than these two [the Taurat (Torah) and the Qur'an], that I may follow it, if you are truthful.”

But when they ignored Him, He turned against them, and Hence abrogation of old scriptures thing was came in action ?

What ever is the case, its damaging to Islam, certainly a well thought Book would never contain such confusion in it.
